As a work at home parent my family related task often compete with my daily work load. I get to cook, clean, take kids to appointments, and do all the other fun stuff parents do on a daily basis. To save time and make life as simple as possible I have become addicted to my Crockpot.
The slow cooker allows me to start dinner in the morning and have a really great meal ready by evening. Not only is cooking with a Crockpot easy but it is delicious. My family’s favorite slow cooker dish is a Creamy Macaroni and Cheese dish I got from Paula Dean. It is super easy to make and only takes about 4 hours total prep and cook time. This is a great item to bring to a pot luck or party. The link includes a video of Paula Dean preparing it so it is really hard to mess up. Get it here.
A lot of times when I am working on my computer I listen to radio to keep me company. One weekend I was listening to a radio show hosted by Jan D’Atri she discusses cooking and local restaurants. She had on a guest on that keeps a blog called A Year Of Slow Cooking. The blog has hundreds of great slow cooker recipes. I have tried may of them which have been a hit with my family. I suggest you try the Sweet Mustard Pot Roast my family gobbles it down like it is a dessert. The Author of the blog Stephanie O’Dea also has a book that you can check out on Amazon.
