Howdy,
When it comes to social networking, it can be a real bore or a huge “money Suck” as far as stealing time from conducting business.
Like you I am also an Avon rep and found your book “internet marketing for Avon Reps” to be really great. You deal with some of the issues of social network marketing. However, I have found that I still need to go out into the field and attract more customers often.
Before web 2.0 started to catch on I started a twitter account and found I enjoyed micro blogging. I have over 2000 followers and more following every day.
The best book I have read on social networking is Jack Humphreys “Black Book” It is a classic on social networking.
Look forward to following your posts.

I agree with you completely that social networking can be a bore and an ineffective way to spend your time if you don’t use it correctly.
One thing about Internet Marketing that is frustrating is that SEO takes time and energy to work, and is more of a long term strategy.
A large percentage of new comers give up before they see their SEO efforts pay off.
For quick results we depend on Social Media and tools like Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. I have personally had success with both.
I don’t typically promote PPC, because it can drain your finds quickly if you don’t know what you are doing. (research, keyword bidding, etc.)
Thanks for you comment, and thanks for purchasing my book!
